Another weekend came and went, but Ruxton and I decided to take advantage of it and head down to San Diego.
We were greeted by Doug and Roxy
After a long wait in traffic, and slightly shorter wait to park… We finally made it to the Del Mar Fair
Where do we even begin?
It didn’t take us long to decide that the first stop should be fair food.
And when you visit a fair, you can’t just eat the first thing you see. You’re going to have to walk around the grounds before deciding.
We ended up taking two cars. Jay got stuck in traffic and finally joined us in the search for fair foods. (We ate, but weren’t opposed to eating again)
Since Jay was late to the game, he had some catching up to do. Unfortunately he made the rookie mistake of eating fried food too fast.
Crossing the horse racing tracks to inspect every inch of this fair.
…And then we found some fun stuff
Of course, locked up as it should be.
We stumbled across half of Anakin’s podracer.
Del Mar endorses “the selfie”
As the sun went down, the crew had succumbed to brightly colored prizes and flashes lights.
The trick is to buy a $10 bin of balls and toss the entire basket all at once.
That technique really does work, ask Josh and Zach
This is what you win, when you don’t use the previously mentioned technique.
Moving on. It was time to see what kind of rides the fair had to offer.
It’s hard to walk of this food when there’s just more food along the way.
Zombies!
The crew gathered for one final round of greasy snacking.
Decisions, decisions
bubbles!
We ate so much fair food, I swear it seemed a little tighter in Spayde’s Fiat.
I have no idea how Ruxton does it. But he senses when I’m outside of Jays pad.

It seemed every time traffic cleared, we’d just hit accident after accident.

Not too bad of a view

For the 4th of July, we headed down to San Diego to meet up for 5&A Dime’s 7th annual 4th celebration.
Our view was right on the water front
It will be Ruxton’s first time watching fireworks… Let’s see how this goes
Don’t look Kilo in the eyes!

We’re not very athletic, but we did give volleyball a shot
It’s not fair to have Jay the Giant on your team
Down by 12 points and came back to win it!

Becky and I headed down to San Diego yesterday. We stopped at Nick’s house and he drove us to The Green Flash Brewery. You might remember that name, because that’s where last years Motor Union was held.
Laverne and Shirley were on their lunch break
Dave gave us the full tour on how their brew is made.
Caution: contains funk
Nick and Billy documenting
Jason and Jarod talked about Motor Union, brews, and cars.
After hanging out at the brewery we headed to Humphrey’s at the Bay. Stars were already playing.
